IICRC Certified & Approved Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician course is held over two days. The Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician course covers smoke odor removal, structure cleaning, surface preparation and finishing, and contents cleaning, including wood furniture, documents, books, and electronics.
Certification: IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician.

Topics to be covered include the study of job planning and execution, chemical and equipment requirements, structural cleaning, contents cleaning, as well as determining the job scope and estimating. The manual contains a section of forms to be used on the job.

Have you avoided getting involved in fire restoration because it seems too complicated? Well it’s not, as long as you understand the principles and proper techniques of fire restoration and odor control taught in this two-day seminar.

Following a fire, the customers “heightened awareness” can make the restorer’s job very difficult. Your best defense against this are: close inspection, careful documentation and professional image. You will learn how different substances burning influence the difficulty of the clean up.

The Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician course concentrates on technical procedure for successfully completing the restoration of a fire and smoke damaged environment. Students will learn how to combine technical procedures with a practical approach to managing the job site and how that relates to pricing the job.

The Odor Control Technician course covers olfaction and odor, odor sources, detection process, theory of odor control, equipment, chemical options and applications. The student will learn how to address odors caused from biological sources such as decomposition, urine contamination, and mold, combustion sources such as fire and smoke damage, and chemical sources such as fuel oil spills or volatile organic chemicals.

Every home, every building and every vehicle provides the opportunity for odor remediation services. Odors caused from smoke, water, pet problems, cigarette smoke, cooking, skunk, dead animal and bacteria can all be remediated. Millions of dollars in property is replaced every year due to odor problems.

This one-day seminar will teach you how to salvage and restore much of this discarded material. You will be given techniques that will allow you to help your customer without causing them any embarrassment. You will learn the principles of deodorization, the chemicals, equipment and procedures used to permanently remove odors.
